Well it’s that time of the year again, the time we once again can look forward to the new 2016 Triumph Bonneville model lineup.

What’s in store for us next year?

New colors and decals?

Perhaps this is the year we’ve all been waiting for, and we’ll really be in store for something exciting and special. Dare to dream?

So what are we seeing out of Hinckley regarding the 2016 Triumph Bonneville model?

Well, initial indications are we just may see something different this year. There’s quite a bit of news regarding some changes coming. Only time will tell, and we’ll have to wait another month of so to get any real confirmation of this news.

Let’s take a look, and see what we may have in store for us next year regarding the 2016 Triumph Bonneville model lineup.

2016 Triumph Bonneville Model Preview

Instead of me rehashing everything that’s been previously written about the 2016 Bonneville, let me use this space to summarize some of the news for you.

2016 Triumph Bonneville 1100 (aka Street Tracker)

Hmm…  A new 1100cc Bonneville. This has the most merit in becoming reality, as it’s been written about ad nauseam.

An all new 11oocc , water cooled, parallel twin that is replacing the existing 865cc engine across the Bonneville lineup (Bonneville, Thruxton, Scrambler), and it’s producing a whopping 90 bhp (not true as we know it now).

The Street Tracker has been spotted in numerous spy shots, the latest from MCN has it in undisguised form. No word on how much this beast is going to weigh.

2017 Triumph Bonneville Bobber

The media are calling this a 2017 model, but it seems like it could be announced this fall (2016). A hardtail with a solo seat, based upon the same engine of the new Bonneville.

My opinion only, but I think this is a long shot.

Three New Bonneville’s for 2016

How about 3 new Triumph Bonneville’s for 2016? A base, mid-range, and top-end model to choose from.

According to the British website Visordown, spy photo’s show just that.
